Install Machine Certificate Windows 10

Hi,

I realize that you are unable to install a cab file on your PC. I will try to help you with this issue.

  • Which cab file are you trying to install?

  • OK about the Windows Credentials but I still have a problem with the security certificate. I also did not understand your 'comp name prefix' what is that? After adding a windows credential and I try to access the NAS device with I get a message There is a problem with this website's security certificate. Can you help?
  • This is how you can add digital certificates to Windows 10 from trusted CAs. First, you’ll need to download a root certificate from a CA. For example, you could download one from the GeoTrust site. Next, open Local Security Policy in Windows by pressing the Win key + R hotkey and entering ‘secpol.msc’ in Run’s text box. Note that Windows 10 Home edition doesn’t include the Local Security Policy editor.

Nov 20, 2018  Windows 10 certificates can help IT ensure that users connect to corporate resources over a trusted connection. Learn how this chain of trust works and walk through the certificate.

You may temporarily disable the security software and check if this helps.

Disclaimer: If you have to temporarily disable the antivirus to install other software; you should enable the antivirus as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to virus attacks.

You may boot the computer in a clean boot state and check if the issue persists. A clean boot state will help us to determine if any 3rd party service or application is causing this issue.

Note: After you have finished troubleshooting, follow the steps under “How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot” in the article to boot to normal startup.

Keep us informed to help you further.

Thank you.

I know I have some certificates installed on my Windows 7 machine. How can I see what they are, the nicknames they are known by, and browse detailed information (such as issuer and available usage)?
