I ordered this drive to use with my Retina Macbook Pro. Generally, LaCie makes good products and they're pretty mac friendly, so I figured it would be a good buy. I got the drive, and it seems pretty good, and it probably works fine, but the problem is that it comes with a Y-split USB cable, with two plugs: one for power, and one for data. On the Retina Macbook Pro, the two USB ports are on the left and right hand sides of the computer, and so they're too far apart from one another to actually plug the cable into the computer.Just to let those of you who are looking for an external DVD drive for this computer know, you should probably look for a different one unless you're using a USB hub or get a reliable USB extension cord or something.
